highlight this year

The highlight for this year is that i meet a new wonderfull teacher and her name is ms T. She was the best art teacher i have ever had for the past 6 years i have been hear. the most inportent thing in the world was being a family in our class and not being a bullie.

role model next year

What does it mean to me if i was a school prefect or a role model and a leader of the school.
Well i think it would be fantastic because the leader of the school is like you boss people around
but not really. Today the year eights are leaving to go to camp at Totara Springs so that means we the year 7’s are going to be the top of the school.


Well the best year 8 role model for me was charm. I pick charm because his so funny and intelligent at his own hobby's. people like him because he’s fast at doing things and very very mature.


Who i think would be a role model next year would be miracle because he is so smart and fast at doing his work . Joe because he is a very good person and helps other people.


What i think my goals a next year is to participate in every thing. one gaol i really want to achieve is to get a higher grades in my literacy and maths.

badminton

Room twenty two have been invited to a session with a Auckland badminton club coach Laureen to teach us some skills about badminton. We had the session in the hall because in the hall it has allot of space to move around.

Some how we where getting good at this because it was too difficult to serve the shuttle and to get it in the bin. Badminton is so fun when you know how to play it. Then we had fun when Laureen said we can have a one on one challenge to see who wins.

Out of the two sessions we had, i liked the one when we challenge each other. We had a great time and allot of fun.

The vocab vine design process

introduction;Room twenty two have been researching and developing solutions to the problem that has been going on. The problem was that there was no furniture in the street and seniors disrespecting it. We a designing furniture so that students will love and respect.


prototype;We had to design a scale of our design for the furniture in the street. Plus we used a design process like a life cycle.Prototypes where difficult for us to create a scale of our own design we had to modify it to make it our own.


evaluate;To assess our design we had to visualize and modify to be approximate that it is safe,innovative and creative.

At school on Wednesday Room twenty two got invited to a rugby league session with a junior vodafone warriors player Sio Siue Taukeiaho. We had to get split up into four saturate equal groups of lines. Also we had to get behind a line of cones. Every line cheered for other people.

explaning
We went to the next event and the game was called rugby tinnies. The game was simple you had to get split into to sides then kick the ball if the ball doesn't pass the height of there shoulder then you a out or if the other team drops it then there out.

conclusion
i felt like i was in super star world when i was with a junior vodafone warrior player for the first time. Then our session was over then we said thank you for a grate league session.

Fonterra Science Roadshow 2011

Last week on Thursday we went to Tamaki College for the Science Roadshow to help us with our topic - Bigger, better, faster and stronger. We were split into groups because it might be crowded so it was Awhina, Ngaina, Tuitalau, Ngametua and me.

There were 6 themes and the first one we looked at was light detection to detect how bright different brands of light bulbs were. The next theme was creating sound, it exciting because we had to make a sound with pitch and voice.

I felt like I was in science heaven because it was interesting and fun.

I think that i can minimize the time that i used to make this sign sculpture and to change it to plastic because i thought of using cardboard out side but the ran will interrupted with it. Its good to put signs out so that people to remember no to litter. Then to change the color and shape.

I just want to change the size of the sign because it won’t be seen. To make it even better to put light reflection and to be practical. Then to make it practical for people to understand what we a doing at Point England school.

I felt that i could do better to what I'm doing. now i feel better after the test. I feel like a person who finishes there work every time.

Geomtry

Geometry is what the Seniors have been learning about. Geometry is about size, shape and possession of a 2D shape and a 3D figure. We made our own shapes like a net or a hexagon.

Room 22 spent our time making shapes, it is about special awareness and focus. There was a new shape we learnt and it was a net, we thought it was a fishing net but it was just a cube.

Pleased-art

I was pleased with my artwork from last term because I received three excellents in work habits, behavior, academic progress and in maths too. My results I received were eight out of twelve in the pasifika pattern rubric. It was the best result I got out of reading, writing, topic and homework!

Improve-homework

I wish to improve my homework this term. It was the lowest in excellents last term and I hope to receive more ticks than before. This term I will improve in all my subjects and will be a good student by not talking while the teacher is.
